Who we are

The Set-Aside is an independent newsletter run by Johan Struijk, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. You can reach us at hello@thesetaside.com.

What we collect

When you subscribe, we collect your email address and the state and industry you choose. Our email provider also records whether issues are delivered and opened, and which links are clicked, so we can see which listings are useful.

Where your contact details came from

If we wrote to you before you subscribed, we found your business contact details in public sources, such as the SBA's Small Business Search, where businesses list a contact for government and business partners. We write up to three times over about two weeks to offer the newsletter. If you subscribe, or tell us to stop, we stop right away. If you do neither, we stop after the third email. Each email says how to stop.

How we use it

We use your information only to send the edition you chose and to improve it. We do not sell, rent or share your email address with anyone, apart from the service providers we use to run the newsletter, such as our email platform and website host.

Unsubscribing and deleting your data

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To have your details deleted entirely, email hello@thesetaside.com and we'll remove them.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the site.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
